Dr. Christine Nearchou (Optometrist)
Dr. Christine Nearchou, founder of Vis-CAT, is a dedicated optometrist, educator, and researcher whose life’s work has been dedicated to unlocking the potential within every child. With over 30 years of experience in paediatric eye health and vision science, Dr. Christine currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne, where she specialises in binocular vision and paediatrics. Her extensive work, from establishing paediatric eyecare clinics to driving outreach programmes, has always been driven by a single purpose: to give children the best possible start in learning and life.
Vis-CAT is the realisation of Dr. Christine’s profound commitment to changing lives. For years, she saw children and teenagers come into her clinic struggling with undetected visual processing issues. This difficulty has eroded their confidence and limited their educational success. Determined to break down these barriers, she developed the Novel Dot Pattern (NDPA) test, an innovative tool that identifies visual cognition issues early on, giving children the chance to overcome these challenges before they impact their lives. Her journey has been shaped by her belief in the transformative power of education—a value instilled by her determination to create a brighter future for all.
Today, she carries that legacy forward through Vis-CAT, venturing beyond traditional practices to bring hope, confidence, and opportunity to children everywhere. Christine’s vision is clear and bold: a world where every child has the support to thrive, to believe in themselves, and to embrace a future filled with possibility.

As the Chief Technical Officer for AreaV1 Pty. Ltd. and Vis-CAT™, Tony drives the Vis-CAT application delivery.
Tony is not just our tech guy; he is also an avid skier and volunteers as a leader for Scouts Australia.

Harry Lambrou
Harry is an experienced, professional engineer with an extensive career spanning over three decades. Harry has honed his expertise in roles such as R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Sourcing Manager. Harry possesses niche knowledge in IP management and boasts over 70 patent and design registration applications worldwide. Harry is known for his adeptness at building, leading, and collaborating with teams.
He is a creative thinker renowned for his aptitude in solving complex problems in new product development, from design to spearheading patent submissions to addressing manufacturing hurdles. He thrives on challenges and persistently pursues optimal solutions. When not at work, Harry is busy coming up with crazy ideas, building model cars, listening to, playing or writing music, reading or working on a never to be finished project car.

George Nearchou
George is an accomplished Managing Director/General Manager with a strong background in leading high-end technology firms such as Bayer Healthcare and Orica over the last 35 years. George has demonstrated expertise in marketing and sales within dynamic, high-growth tech sectors, adept at driving innovation and market expansion by introducing new customer solutions while managing R&D budgets effectively. He is known for driving business development and strategic sales processes, crafting and executing sustainable strategic business plans with a focus on customer satisfaction to drive growth in sales and profitability.
A proactive leader with a contagious enthusiasm for communicating and aligning company mission, strategy, and culture to achieve operational excellence and meet objectives.
